Compensation of Modal Dispersion Using Decision Feedback Equalizer
This schematic demonstrates the advantage of decision feedback equalization for modal dispersion compenstation. This technique allows to transmit NRZ pulses with 1 Gbit/s at 850 nm over more than 5 km multimode fiber.

Impact of Mode Coupling in MIMO Transmission over a Standard Multimode Fiber
Illustrates the impact of mode coupling in short-haul MIMO transmission over a multimode fiber. In this example, three 10Gb/s NRZ channels with same emission frequency are transmitted over different LP modes. Channel cross-talk may take place at the multimode coupler or during the propagation in the fiber as a consequence of bending-induced mode coupling.
