    A single-stage forward- or backward- pumped (980 nm or 1480 nm) doped fiber amplifier. The pumping direction and wavelength are set using an attached script, so the differences in pumping schemes can be easily compared.

  • Single Stage 980 nm Forward Pump L-Band Preamplifier


    A single-stage forward-pumped (980 nm) doped fiber amplifier for L-band. It uses a very long, low-doping level, fiber. The ASE from the input part of the fiber is used to pump the output end of the fiber.

  • Two Stage C-Band Amplifier (Pre & Power)


    A forward-pumped preamplifier is combined with a reverse-pumped power amplifier. In between the two stages is a gain flattening filter, with a pump bypass path so that the remnant pump from the first stage is used in the second stage.
